How a Nassau refinish runs
After a free walk-through, furniture is cleared from the work areas and adjacent rooms are protected. Hummel and Galaxy sanders with inbuilt vacuums remove the old finish and about 1/32 inch of wood. Gaps get wood filler, damaged boards get matched replacements, and then the floor is stained or left natural before three coats of water-based polyurethane. Oil-based is available when you want it.

Stain matching for Long Island homes
Natural and clear finishes, light and gray washes, traditional medium browns, dark walnut, and ebony are all common directions. When the floor has to match a stair tread, threshold, or cabinet face, we test next to the target piece and adjust until field and match agree in daylight and lamp light. When refinishing is not enough
If most of the wear layer is intact and the damage is local, sanding, board repairs, and a new finish usually restore the floor. If boards are rotten through, too thin to sand, or moisture keeps returning, replacing those areas or a new hardwood installation is the honest path. What affects the cost
